Dual Hawk Aluminum Window
The EX550-AL-W Dual Hawk dual-compartment explosion-proof instrument enclosure has a window front cover for the electronics compartment and a solid back cover for the connections compartment. It is made of aluminum, and it comes with one top and two side conduit connections of 3/4", and one bottom process connection of 1". The electronics compartment includes four internal cast rails with drilled and tapped holes that make it easy to mount electronics up against the window. The base of this compartment also includes four drilled and tapped holes to mount additional components. The connections compartment includes four drilled and tapped holes for mounting a PCB or other components. The enclosure has provisions for attaching a tag as well as making the covers tamper-proof. Like all ExDirect aluminum flame-proof instrument housings, the EX550-AL-W family of Dual Hawk enclosures carry UL, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals.

Key Features
Electronics Mounting

PCB Mounting
Four drilled and tapped internal mounting holes and four cast rails are available inside the enclosure for easy mounting of a PCB or other components.
Tamper Seal
Tamper-proofing is achieved by inserting a wire through the cast-in loop on the base of the enclosure and a hole in the lid of the enclosure and securing this wire with a lead seal.
Cast-in Loop
Attach a stainless steel tag to the enclosure through the cast-in loop located on the base of the enclosure.
